Dr Shahid Masood Back To GEO Tv

Unfortunately there are some persons who just live for money. Dr. Shahid Masood, a well known TV anchor, is also one of them. He earned a good repute from his programme Meray Mutabiq, which was telecast from GEO TV. he was famous for his statements against General Musharraf and other culprits. Later, he shook hand with General Musharraf and joined state owned TV channel PTV as its Managing Director. Pakistani people were shocked to hear this news.

Some days back, he resigned from PTV and joined PPP government as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister. After a few days of his joining, he resigned from this position.
Now GEO TV is showing clips of his programme Meray Mutabiq and informing that Dr. Shahid Masood is coming back to GEO with this programme very soon. This is indeed an immature act by Dr. Masood. He has lost his reputation as it seems that he is interesting only in money making by jumping here and there. Let us see that now what he says in his first programme.

Coming soon: Ali Zafar's music video 'Aap Jaisa Hai Jawan' PDF E-mail
Monday, 03 November 2008

The blue-eyed boy of our music industry plans to make a return with a hauntingly beautiful video of Aap Jaisa Hai Jawan. Let’s face it; Ali Zafar has been the bona fide pretty boy of the music industry. Considered a double treat — he sings well enough to get popular acclaim, has catchy songs that appeal to the teeny boppers in the country and has the good looks to make him an ideal candidate for endorsing products — he is the epitome of a Pakistani pop star. However, it is perhaps the light, ‘bubbly’ perception of himself as an artiste that one feels Ali has, time and time again, tried to disprove. The fact that he is also artistically-inclined also shows the level of visual detail that has previously gone into his videos. Prime examples are his self-directed Yeh Pal, Rangeen, Chal Dil Mere and the Ahsan Rahim directed Sajania. The way he immersed himself into the character he portrayed in these videos perhaps showed his inclination towards acting as well.

Ali is back with a new video that is currently creating quite a buzz on the airwaves. From a high-class conman/bank-robber to becoming completely ghetto as a street thug, Ali seems enamoured by the ‘gansta’ lifestyle. We see his otherwise pretty face distorted into expressions of angst, frustration and downright aggression. He is a prime example of, according to music video director Ahsan Rahim, “a wasted youth.” "When you are young,” said Ahsan, “you tend to make some very rash decisions that sometimes end in your life being wasted. That was the idea behind making the video.” Ali Zafar plays the typical hooligan off the streets who indulges in petty street crimes — robbing people on the sidewalk, stealing mobile phones, creating mischief and ending up in gang-fights and what not. He also considers himself to be somewhat of a ladies’ man. He has a sweetheart that he locks eyes with now and then, but doesn’t really make a move. “Well, he’s a hero-type… apni taraf se,” said Ali about the character.

Ali firmly iterated that, “The video is not a dance video. It’s not a fun video or a glamour video. It’s hard and it’s painful. It portrays our mindsets in these present times. (It represents) our issues; the crime scene here. "But it looks at it from more of a personal angle. How when someone steps into the dark side can end up in a darker zone.” The Aap Jaisa Hai Jawan video is introspective and explores human psychology, of how negative emotions/situations can affect and alter our behavior and perception. When asked about working with Ali again, Ahsan Rahim responded with a laugh, "Ali ki sari achi videos Ali Zafar, the gangster?mainay banai hain!” (I’ve made all of Ali’s good videos). He added that now he was in the thought-process of making Shahzad Roy’s next video, of the title song from his album, Qismet Apnay Haath Mein.

The ‘hero-type’ in Ali’s music video meets a gory end as he ends up being cornered by the police and gets killed in a crossfire. The moral of the story is clear: Evil deeds meet a just end. “Contrary to popular belief, I do think about the problems we face and how to deal with them,” responded Ali to his recent absence from the music scene, “I need time because I am working on a big project.” The musician remained tight-lipped about what this ‘project’ was but promised to divulge the details the moment they were finalised. The fact that he’s on a trip across the border makes one speculate whether this so-called project has something to do with Bollywood.

Atif Aslam ‘Rabba Sacheya’

Atif Aslam
‘Rabba Sacheya’

Atif Aslam's next video, 'Rabba Sacheya' is also slated for release shortly. The video, which has been directed by Bilal Lashari, is currently being edited and will be released as soon as the post-production work on it is finished. This video has apparently been stuck in post-production for a while, so one wonders if it will ever see the light of day. In other Atif Aslam news, Atif is touring Mauritius, Dubai and India and is also reading Bollywood movie scripts, and as his manager Shahbaz says, 'discarding them!' Click Here to Full View!

! Nazia Hassan died of natural causes: Death certificate published

Eight years after Nazia Hassan's death, the mystery surrounding her murder has finally resolved. Attached was a copy of Nazia's death certificate. According to this certificate, Nazia Hassan's death was caused by the following: (a)Pulmonary thromboembolism, (b) Deep vein thrombosis and (c) Carcinoma of left lung." For the longest time, the death of Pakistan's favourite female singer, Nazia Hassan on August 13, 2000, has been associated with mystery. Even though officially it was due to cancer, people had their doubts. Firstly, it was because of various stories that rotated around and after Nazia's death. And then there were the rumours that spread like wildfire, changing, twisting and turning as they went along. Log onto various forums, blogs and message boards of web sites and it'll become clearer how far these stories go where many have still been wondering the cause behind Nazia's death. But with this death certificate, it seems that it was the deadly disease of cancer that got to Pakistan's nightingale. So to be fair it is on these pages that we finally put all the rumours and stories to rest.

We always knew that Nazia battled with cancer for over four years. She herself talked about it. But it was always hard to believe that nature could be so cruel to someone like her. The rules of life and eventual death seemed inapplicable to our icon.Maybe now the legions of Nazia Hasan's fans can finally put these stories to rest and remember Nazia for who she really was. A woman who didn't just sing but managed to put a smile on everyone's face and became a role model for all of us who were enraptured by her as children. Long before media expanded and the Pakistani music industry thrived and it became possible for an Annie to survive and for the birth of musicians like Zeb and Haniya, it was Nazia who came along as the brightest ray of hope.
