The archival interviews are a shock — time has lined their faces, but their energy remains explosive. The guest shots pay off in different ways. Jack White looks agog being with his idols on "Loving Cup," and Christina Aguilera meets Jagger on her own sexual highway on "Live With Me." The killer is blues legend Buddy Guy on "Champagne & Reefer," taking on the Stones and making their jaws drop. The Stones play to the audience, not the camera, but the setting is so intimate and Scorsese's focus is so intense that you seem to experience the concert in three dimensions. This you-are-there spellbinder is a master director shining his light on the best rock band on the planet. Get busy.

I saw this last month at the 2008 Palm Springs International Short Fest. This is a cute 4 minute short filmed in the Czech Republic with a Prague commuter train as the setting by British director Jon Greenhalgh. Hero Boy (Ondrej Moravec)) opens a note that was left behind on the train by Hero Girl (Ida Sovová). He finds a message on the note when he looks at the note again the message has changed and it turns into a series of instructions. Vaclav Spanos is The Girl's Boyfriend and Jon Santroch is Boy. Shot in black and white with no dialog and written by Greenhalgh and Kelvin Tillinghast this is a fun little comedy shrouded in mystery and nicely photographed by Ivan Bartos I would give this an 8.5 out of 10 and recommend it.

Shortly after Phoebe's birth, he finds that she has Down Syndrome, and hands her over to Nurse Caroline, explaining that the death of his ill sister nearly destroyed their mother and he doesn't want Norah to go through that. Instead, he instructs Caroline to take Phoebe to a nearby institution for the mentally ill, figuring the child won't live much longer, and tells Norah that Phoebe was a stillborn. However, after visiting the institution and seeing the state of the other patients, Caroline takes the baby home with her, stopping along the way to buy formula and diapers. With help from a truck driver named Al, Caroline begins to raise the baby as her own, while Dr. Henry develops an obsession for photography after his wife gives him the gift of a Memory Keeper camera.
